Ever since last year, Nolan has been terrified of nutcrackers. We have an oversized one that we put by our hearth. Last year it freaked him out so much we had to put the nutcracker in "timeout" and make it face the wall. This year we decided to not even bring it out. I mean, they are kind of scary if you look at them through toddler eyes. I have other nutcrackers that I put on the mantle and it took a few days for Nolan to get comfortable with them. Now he seems to really enjoy our little collection and even does impersonations!
